Confrontation

Duration is about half of the duration of the story.

In the second act, the main character faces numerous obstacles to achieve their dramatic need i.e. what they want to win, get, find out, achieve, or implement.

When you know the dramatic need, you can come up with and write to it opposing obstacles that the main character overcome in the story one after another. Obstacles can be internal or external.

The second act is divided into two halves separated by a central point.

The first half

At first, the main character is doing well. They will survive obstacles and manage the situation.
